Become a Neighbourhood Watch volunteer

At Sectrol we provide residential security services across a wide range of Victoria, from our base in Ballarat through to Stawell in the Northern Grampians locality. Stawell is a country town with a population of just over 8000. This month, across the state, it is Community Safety Month – an initiative of the Victorian Safe Communities Network (VSCN). As a security company, we believe in doing everything possible to protect yourself, your family and your community from preventable crime. A lot of criminal activity is opportunistic and with increased awareness and a team effort, crime against property and people can be reduced. We are always there to increase the level of security of your home and community and encourage people to work with us and the police to prevent crime by simply being aware not just of your own residency, but that of others too.

In light of Community Safety Month we’d like to promote Neighbourhood Watch which is a program aimed at increasing community awareness and crime prevention. As long as you do not have a criminal record and agree to a history check by the police, you can apply to become a Neighbourhood Watch volunteer. We provide high-quality and reliable alarm systems, monitoring and maintenance for homes in Stawell. Professional security products and services can be supplemented with programs such as Neighbourhood Watch. Between the police, your local security provider and members of the community, we can all make a difference in reducing crime.
